1. Brown Patch:
Cause: Fungus (Rhizoctonia solani) Symptoms: Circular brown or yellow patches, often with a darker ring around the edges. Common in warm, humid weather.
Grass Types Affected: Tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, bentgrass, and Kentucky bluegrass.
Management: Avoid overwatering and water early in the morning. Improve air circulation and reduce thatch buildup. Apply fungicides if necessary.
2. Dollar Spot:
Cause: Fungus (Clarireedia spp.) Symptoms: Small, silver-dollar-sized bleached spots that can merge into larger areas. Grass blades may have hourglass-shaped lesions.
Grass Types Affected: Bentgrass, Bermuda grass, Kentucky bluegrass, and ryegrass.8. Fairy Ring
Cause: Fungus (Various basidiomycetes)
Management: Aerate the soil to reduce compaction. Water and fertilize evenly.
3. Red Thread:

Management: Apply nitrogen fertiliser. Improve soil drainage. Reduce thatch buildup.
4. Snow Mold:
Cause: Fungus (Microdochium nivale or Typhula spp.) Symptoms: Circular patches of matted, straw-colored grass after snow melts.
Grass Types Affected: All cool-season grasses.
Management: Avoid excessive nitrogen fertilisation in late fall. Rake leaves and debris before winter. Improve air circulation.
5. Fairy Ring:
Cause: Fungus (Various basidiomycetes) Symptoms: Rings or arcs of dark green grass, sometimes with mushrooms. Inner areas may be dead or brown.
Grass Types Affected: All grass types.
Management: Aerate the soil to reduce compaction. Water and fertilise evenly.
